Do you need a sign?

We have many signage options available. A sign can be a printed board made from a wide range of materials. It can be a type of stand that supports itself and send out a message. Signs can also be large vinyl stickers and graphics, such as letters on a window.

I just want a large printed board!

Great! All you need to do is choose a matt or gloss finish and then the type of board:

  • Corflute is a corrugated plastic board. It’s like a plastic cardboard and is commonly used for real estate signs.

  • Palight is a thin foamboard. It is very lightweight. A matt finish on this material is an elegant solution for indoor projects and displays.

  • ACM is a very durable outdoor signage backing. It is made from two aluminium sheets bonded to a rigid plastic core. This material is made to withstand variable New Zealand weather.

A sticker can be a sign

Cut-out shapes applied to surfaces like walls, cars or windows can also be a sign. We have a wide range of colours and specialty materials to choose from. We also have the option of combining printing AND cutting if that makes your idea happen. What did YOU have in mind?

(+3mm bleed on each edge = 606x806)

There is a hand-hold cut-out at the top. The bottom of that cut shape is 50mm from the top. The dark area at the bottom is still printed but mostly disappears into the stand when set up. It is also 50mm but upwards from the bottom edge.

Supplying Artwork

Ideally, sign artwork is created using vector art, due to the often large sizes. Photos can also be used and the whole sign can be done photographically, using photo or paint software. Keep in mind that photo art or elements should be at least 300dpi at full size. Working with large files at this resolution may be a problem for some users or projects. If you are having trouble or have some concerns about quality, get in touch with one of our staff and we can advise a solution on an individual basis.

Files should be supplied as pdfs with a reasonable quality. Pixel artwork can be pdf, jpg, or psd. Again, if you are having trouble deciding, just get in touch with us. It’s our job to help you get things printed!
